It started out as a Christmas gift from Mel to Helen and Janet - a simple but elegant necklace to celebrate their friendship and the beautiful community they've built together.
When we started getting comments and questions about this necklace, we commissioned our good friend and fellow AsianBossGirl, Jayna Tuiasosopo, to create this special piece. Jayna is the founder of Niava.co, Polynesian-inspired statement pieces handcrafted in Los Angeles, California. Niava is named after her great-grandmother who used to craft and sell jewelry in Samoa and every piece is lovingly and skillfully crafted by Jayna herself.
